Inaugurations

Big new project coming up, history of inaugurations, ascertaining what we have, scanning some docs, photos etc. in preparation for Macpherson's inauguration in April. Am meeting next week with several members of the committee.

Brockport families

A museum studies student, trying to research some Brockport families. Showed how to search and download the Brockport Republic on the nyshistoricnewspapers.org site.

Interns

Busy with interns these days, have 5 from public history, each doing a 30 hour internship!

Rosalie Hopko, doing a finding aid to the Peg Browne collection, and Charlie Pace, working on the Mary Mortimer history.

Edward Cain

Had a caller doing research for a book on higher education, interested in Cain who was a "social studies" political sci prof here for many years. Also in expansion of college in '50s, '60s, wanted images of expansion. Sent her email with some info on Cain, and link to Stylus in nyshistoricnewspapers.org, and some aerial photos.

HST512 intern

Ben Cherry, will be scanning faculty/staff bio stuff. Have him starting with '50s negatives of civil service and other staff, looking for bio info on them, to recognize some of the workers of that era.
