S&M Reaper

Richard Black, Design, looking for an image of S&M reaper. Quick scanned one from old catalog, emailed to him, asked more about what he wants, mentioned there is an actual reaper in the village museum.

Update: one of the two illustrations I scanned will be used for the Town of Sweden bicentennial logo, which is what Richard is designing.

Jim Dusen, retired campus photographer, was contacted by John Perry's widow. She was looking for a portait of him, I think they are doing a room in his memory. Found, scanned a couple of portrait negatives of Jim's, emailed to him. He will be in next week.

Walk in visitor, ref desk librarian noted that these years were not on top floor, brought visitor to me. I had them, and have mulitple copies, maybe will add one of each to circ. Or not, need to see how many intact copies I have, and am adding to DC anyway...

As an aside, this was the first drop in visitor in months, virtually all my questions come via phone calls or email, at least initially.

Brockport Woods

A student doing a research project under Chris Norment is working on this. Chris contacted me, asking for old aerial photos and other info. I replied and suggested the student contact me. I asked for clarification too, since am not sure if they mean the wood lot bordering Redman Rd. or some other area.

Update: Chris answered, yes, they mean the wood lot SW of New Campus and Commencement Drives.

European Study Tours

This came last week, and has been the focus of a good bit of back and forth, research, and digitizing. The question came from Mike Andriatch in Advancement after a meeting he had with Jeanette Banker D'Agostino. The tours were an early international education experience here, in the 1950s and '60s, run by professor Eric Steel. Some materials were placed in the Digital Commons in response to this topic.
