'92 - '93 Foundation Annual Report

The value of an archives - Brad Schreiber wanted a piece from that year's annual report for a donor they are working with, but they didn't have a copy of that year's report. Archives did, scanned, emailed to him.

Advancement office - emeriti info

Beginnings of a discussion with advancement office about how to best assemble bio information on emeriti, who are a major source of donations. Archives has files, Bud Meade does his updates, there are other sources, it all needs to be pulled together. Will be having a meeting at some point to brainstorm.

Richard Elton

Request from emeriti for information on Richard Elton, came here as industrial arts teacher in 1947, later ran our continuing education program in 1960s. Scanned and merged some articles from Stylus, emailed to the emeriti, and printed a copy for our bio files.

Fannie Barrier

Question from a prof re Fannie Barrier, what materials do I have... Related what the archives has, and that there is a first ever biography of her slated to be published this year.

Someone who was their advisor ca1990 is coming to campus to speak to the current club, and wanted some history on it. No file in archives, went thru Saga & Stylus, appears to have started ca1977. Am putting together a basic file on the club to add to archives.

Presbyterian Church

Had a request to send just the bit on the Presbyterian church and the accompanying image from the 1913 supplement by a church member for use in their newsletter. Emailed to them this am.

Canal Expansion Photos

An artist, Stephanie Haibach, is working on a mural depicting the expansion of the canal ca1914 for the village, and came in today to go thru the images in the digitized glass plate collection. I had set aside in a folder the ones of the canal and she also was interested in looking thru the others, to get a better sense of the time.

Busy morning! Yacht Club member contacted me looking for Guelf images of yacht club.

Helen Simpson negatives

Didn't even realize this, but Kelly who works in the cafe is Helen Simpson's daughter, the local photographer who has now retired. Kelly was asking if I'd want negatives of that she shot at college related events etc., said yes, definitely.

Main St Scrapbooks

Kathy Goetz asking if I'd like to see scrapbooks of photos of Main St. buildings put together for historic building group a few years back, are housed at Seymour Library. Am checking back with her and Norm F., maybe a scanning project to post on community museum web site.
